Commitment to Accessibility & Inclusiveness
Last Updated: October 14, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Universal Access
At Vaishnav Mediclaim & Insurance Services (VMI Services), we believe insurance protection and healthcare guidance are fundamental rights that must be accessible to everyone—regardless of age, physical ability, visual acuity, hearing, or technical proficiency.
For over three decades, our family agency has been grounded in empathy, trust, and personal care. We are continuously improving our digital platform to ensure that every individual—including blind and low-vision visitors using screen readers, keyboard-only navigators, and senior citizens—can explore, compare, and secure healthcare protection independently and with dignity.
2. Standards and Technical Conformance
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a reference when improving the site, including the principles of perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness. We have not completed an independent conformance audit, so we do not claim that every page currently meets a specific WCAG level or legal standard.
These guidelines define best practices for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with a wide range of disabilities.
3. Accessibility Measures on Our Website
The site currently includes accessibility features intended to make common tasks easier. Feature availability and behavior can vary by page and device:
- Accessibility menu (Alt+A): On mobile and tablet, open the site menu and choose “Accessibility Tools” to launch the panel; on larger screens, use the floating button. The menu offers text resizing, contrast and color options, dyslexia-friendly typography, spacing, link highlighting, animation controls, a reading guide, and a reading mask. Preferences are stored in this browser. Screen-reader behavior and the visual effect of these settings may differ across pages and devices.
- Alternative text: Images use alternative text where provided; some decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. If an image is missing a useful description, please let us know.
- Keyboard access: We aim to make navigation, forms, and controls usable with a keyboard. Some controls may still have barriers, and we welcome reports so we can address them.
- Focus indicators and page structure: The site uses visible focus styles and semantic headings and landmarks in many areas; coverage is still being reviewed.
- Ongoing improvements: We continue to review color contrast, zoom and reflow, reduced-motion support, and compatibility with assistive technologies. These have not been comprehensively verified across every page and device.
4. Priority Human Support for Senior Citizens & Persons with Disabilities
Technology is only one part of true accessibility. When dealing with hospital admissions, insurance claims, or policy renewals, personal human assistance makes all the difference:
📞 Direct Voice Guidance & Helpline: Senior citizens and persons with disabilities who require assistance or find online forms cumbersome can call our dedicated accessibility helpline directly at +91 9911484725. We will complete all formalities on your behalf over the phone.
✉️ Dedicated Accessibility Mail: Email us directly at accessibility-support@vaishnavmediclaim.in for rapid accommodation requests and document conversion.
💬 Large-Text WhatsApp Assistance: Prefer reading at your own pace? Chat with us on WhatsApp at +91 9911484725 with large text fonts, audio voice notes, or screen readers.
🏥 Hands-On Claim Advocacy: In the event of a medical emergency or hospital admission, our registered agents actively advocate with TPAs and insurer desks to relieve your family of paperwork stress.
5. Recommended Devices & Assistive Technology
To ensure the best possible experience when using our website, we recommend using the following devices, browsers, and assistive technologies:
- Screen Readers: NVDA or JAWS on Windows (with Chrome or Firefox), VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android.
- Magnification Tools: Windows Magnifier, macOS Zoom, or browser-based zoom (Ctrl/Cmd + Plus). Our website supports zooming up to 200% without loss of content.
- Speech Recognition: Windows Speech Recognition, Apple Dictation, or Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking for hands-free navigation.
- Alternative Keyboards: Standard external keyboards, adapted keyboards, and switch access devices for users with motor impairments.
- High Contrast Mode: Using your operating system's built-in High Contrast or Dark Mode settings is fully supported for improved readability.
6. Third-Party Content & Insurer PDF Documents
While we strive for complete digital accessibility across every page we develop, certain official policy wordings, prospectuses, or rate charts issued directly by underwriting insurance companies (such as The Oriental Insurance Company Limited, Star Health, HDFC ERGO, or Niva Bupa) are distributed as legacy third-party PDF documents that may not be fully optimized for screen readers.
If you encounter any difficulty reading or accessing an insurer-issued document, please contact us immediately. We will gladly read it aloud, summarize its terms in plain language, or provide it in an accessible alternate format.
7. Ongoing Audits and Continuous Improvement
Digital accessibility is ongoing. We are continuing to review user journeys, forms, and visual components. We have not completed comprehensive automated and manual assistive-technology testing across the whole site.
8. Accessibility Feedback & Assistance Contact
We welcome your feedback. If you encounter any accessibility barrier on our website, or if you have suggestions for how we can make your experience easier and more comfortable, please reach out directly:
